Meet the Team: James Houghton

Updated: Jan 23

Welcome to the another edition of our 'Meet the Team' blog series with James Houghton. At ServicePoint Solutions, we champion a 'people-first' ethos, holding firm to the belief that it's our team members who truly define and distinguish us.

Going beyond the conventional, we are also proud to be a 'family-first' business. This familial spirit is evident, with our CEO's son and daughter, alongside their respective partners, playing pivotal roles within our ranks. Many of our team members are talented professionals with whom we've had the privilege of working with previously.

With a rich tapestry of backgrounds and deep expertise spanning Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service Management, our team stands as a standard of excellence AND synergy.

What are your hopes and dreams for the rest of 2023 and into 2024?

My hopes and dreams for ServicePoint Solutions for the remainder of 2023 and moving into 2024 are intertwined with the concept of growth. My hope is as a company we can aspire to cultivate personal growth across all of our team, both in terms of knowledge and character. The pursuit of knowledge and understanding is a shared passion for all of us at ServicePoint, fostering intellectual growth and innovation is key in my opinion to continue our success.

Working with smart and dedicated team members is an exhilarating experience. Their passion and expertise is the fuel that propels ServicePoint towards achieving our goals. Collaborating with such individuals fosters a dynamic environment where ideas flow freely, challenges are met with enthusiasm, and solutions are born from collective intelligence. It is a pure joy working with the entire team. I am very lucky to be in this position and share our victories collectively.

ServicePoint Solutions stands out as company as we treat our entire team as our family. While we do have a hierarchy within the business it does not affect the personal connections between all team members. What inspires or motivates you?

Professionally: Team work motivates me, working closely with all ServicePoint staff. I value my relationship with every team member. I hold trust in high regard and value effort and attention to detail from myself and the ServicePoint Team.

Personally, my motivation is focused on starting a family in the near future, visiting as much of the world as I can, and treating myself to a new watch for my collection.

Favourites (and Why):

Film: Pulp Fiction; I love the concept of the film, I love the unconventional narrative structure, its iconic characters and the memorable dialogue.

Song: 'Take It Easy' by The Eagles; The song conveys a message of relaxation, letting go of stress, and enjoying life's simpler pleasures. Wise words to live by in my opinion.

Animal: Has to be cats; Their independent yet affectionate nature and playful antics, unpopular opinion but I much prefer them to dogs.

Place: Traeth Llanddwyn in Anglesey; I proposed to my fiance Jazmine on the small outcrop of the beach, it will always be our special place.

Food: Hard to beat a rare fillet steak, chunky chips and grilled mushrooms

Salesforce Character: Codey the Bear.
